The deep, steady flavor of paprika provides the backbone for this blend, which gets elevated by the peppery citrus of coriander and the pungent sweetness of cinnamon. Cumin keeps this blend grounded while verdant parsley adds notes of herbaceous levity. Our Couscous Seasoning is blended in small batches in our facility, to preserve product freshness.
Use 2 teaspoons of Couscous Seasoning per cup of dry couscous. While it’s wonderful with couscous this blend is wonderfully versatile. It’s a great seasoning for lamb meatballs, rub this under the skin of roast chicken, or stir into a hearty lentil-and-potato stew. Mash into sweet potatoes. Rub onto eggplant before roasting or grilling, and toss into a Dutch oven filled with hearty chunks of butternut squash and brown sugar for a braised, glazed, sweet and savory winter squash.
