Baked Nashville Hot Chicken

Ingredients:

  •  1 lb  Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, cut into 4 equal portions
  •  1/2 Cup Flour
  •  1 Cup Buttermilk
  •  1  Egg
  •  1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs, unseasoned
  •  2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  •  3 Tsp Nashville Hot Chicken Seasoning

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare 3 shallow dishes, each large enough for 1-2 pieces of chicken. In the first dish, add the flour. In the second dish, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, and 1 tsp Nashville Hot Chicken Seasoning. In the third dish, combine the Panko crumbs and 1 tsp Nashville Hot Chicken Seasoning.
  • Take a piece of chicken and dredge it in the flour of the first dish. Shake off excess. Then dip the chicken in the second dish, egg and buttermilk mixture. Move the chicken to the third dish and cover completely with the Panko crumbs. Place the coated chicken on the baking sheet. Bake 25-30 minutes.
  • In a small skillet, heat olive oil and remaining 1 tsp Nashville Hot Chicken Seasoning. Drizzle hot oil evenly over chicken before serving.
